Default Cart will not move low throttle under range HELP

I install a brand new Alltrax sr48500 controller, soleoid and heavy duty switch. Got it all from cartsunlimited.
Tah Wiring is all correct. Receiving low throttle under range. Controller is set ITS throttle type. If I change it to 0-5k 2 wire I receive same error as above plus high throttle over range.
Please help I am at a loss of what the problem could be. I have tried so many things. Thanks

Others with more knowledge should chime in soon but I do not believe your changing the throttle type is the correct thing to do.
Assuming your cart is a series cart the ITS is the correct throttle type.
Has the cart ever run after installing the new equipment?
If not it could very well be a wiring issue.
Post some pictures of your install so they can be reviewed (I did this after issues with my upgrade and someone noticed I had a wire crossed, made the recommended change and wa la!)
You can also email or PM Scottyb he will answer asap (this is a holiday weekend)
Good luck and welcome to the site.

I’m with sideways on his suggestions, along with not having the knowledge to help you, other than suggesting you use the advanced search function. This topic comes up a lot, as far as throttle range errors. There are certain values you should get between the two wires coming from the its. I don’t remember what they are but think they’re different depending on stock control vs altrax. The values change as you press the accelerator.

I’d post the pics, try searching, and recheck the wires from the its.

There are high throttle over range and under range and low throttle over range and under range errors. The wording of all of them is confusing as to their exact meaning, but as a group they mean the voltage between the black and white wires that connect the ITS sensor in the pedal box to the controller, is outside the normal range of 10V with the pedal up and 6V with the pedal on the floor.

There are only three possible sources for these errors. (listed in alphabetical order)
1. Controller
2. ITS Sensor
3. Wiring that connects 1. and 2. together.

To measure the voltage between the black and white wires, the SR controller has to be powered up. It powers up when the pedal is pushed just far enough to make solenoid click, or when a computer is connected to it via the USB cable.

What is the voltage between the black and white wires with pedal up and pedal down? (Pedal up= 10V & pedal down = 6V)

What is the voltage on SR terminals the black and white wires connect to when the wires are disconnected. (Should be at least 10V)

With the black and white wires connected to the SR controller, but disconnected from the ITS Sensor in the pedal box, what is the voltage between the loose black and white wires in the pedal box. (Should be at least 10V)

What is the ITS sensor, and where can I find it?

ITS is the Inductive Throttle Sensor. It tells the controller the position of the accelerator/throttle.

It is in the pedal box underneath the floor matt.

Hi, my cart is a 1994 Club Car DS. If I understand you correctly you're referring to the black and white wire between the alltrax controller and the throttle "wiper" on my model. Question--if this is correct, is the controller the source for the voltage? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.

This thread is very old and the person you have quoted looking for answers has unfortunately passed away. You may have better luck starting your own thread.
