Re: Help with identifying older EZGO
It's an EZGO Marathon. With that nose should be between 1988 & 1993. I would need ID tag info to get you any closer than that.

Re: Help with identifying older EZGO
All the electric's were (originally) 36 volt. The 48's didn't come around till after those were out of production. They also made gas models. 2 strokes most of the production run, 4 strokes just the final couple years.
I've got one that's an 87, so a slightly different nose. Just bumped it from the original 36 volts to 42 (extra battery in the bag well). |

Re: Help with identifying older EZGO
I'm eyeing one in my area that needs batteries. The owner claims it needs
four -12V batteries? He's supposed to send me some photos of the battery compartment tomm. Anything in particular I should look for if I go check it out? |

Re: Help with identifying older EZGO
I would probably want to take some jumper cables and a few batteries, even automotive 12 volts if you have access to any. you wouldn't want to run it that way long term, but at least you could check if the cart works. Way too often I see carts sold as "needing batteries" when there are other major issues as well. Everything can be fixed (for a price), but it would be good to know when determining a purchase price.
