Re: TXT vs RXV
the TXT has a DC current drive system......the RXV has an AC current drive system. that's the basic difference.

Re: TXT vs RXV
Also different body. Different front suspension. RXV has no wheel brakes. Parking brake is automatic. Mechanically operated but electrically actuated and mounted on the end of the motor. All else equal, RXV holds speed much better on inclines. Very little options for power upgrades available for RXV but not much needed. All RXVs have limited slip. TXTs do not.
Not sure there is anything interchangeable between the two except the steering wheel and wheels. |

Re: TXT vs RXV
In addition to all the above responses, the RXV is not the most user-friendly to customize the operating mechanics and electrical system without risking damage to the expensive controller. Tweaks to the controller are available to get you speed and other performance characteristics.
I have a stock 36V TXT and an RXV. I much prefer the suspension and performance of the RXV, especially if you have inclines to climb. Eats them right up with a cart full of adults. Stock TXTs ride like a truck and bog down on inclines, but they are relatively inexpensive, the operating system is relatively simple and bulletproof, they are easy to work on, and are open to modification if you wish to improve these characteristics. Re: TXT vs RXV
So RXV would be the better of the two?

TXT vs RXV
Txt PDS is DEF the better of the two. in my opinion EZGO tried to do too much with RXV’s. When you try and disable the reverse buzzer and it shuts the cart down...yeahhhh that actually will happen. Can’t beat it for power but the bad DEF outweighs the good in my book. I wouldn’t own one and I do not work on them. That’s my two cents..take it for what it’s worth.

Re: TXT vs RXV
Our RXV Programmer (I'm guessing you mean the one for the Danahar Controller not the Curtis?) It asks for a four digit password when you try to use parameters (which, conveniently, EZGO won't tell us)
We just stuff some paper towel into the buzzer and use electrical tape, or even hide it somewhere the sun won't shine after using some wire extensions. seems to work. |
