Spline gear stripped

Cart is a 2003 EZGO series non PDS 36 volt. The person working on it is, I believe, a very good cart person. He tells me the spline gear on the motor shaft is stripped. My question is the gear replaceable or does the entire motor need replaced? If the gear is replaceable any instruction on where to find the gear and how to replace it?

Are you sure he means the motor spline and not the passenger wheel hub spline, which strips easily?

A stripped motor spline would be new to me- I’ve never heard of that! If that’s really the case, yes, you would need a new motor.

Replace the motor and the motor input shaft for the differential. A damaged input shaft is going to harm a new motor.
