You won't believe...TXT has mind of it's own, Need diagnosis!
It will run fine for days. at full speed, long distance......park in garage....next time it will not move.....Solenoid clicks, no green lights/codes on Alltrax.....push out of garage and load on trailer with winch and BAM starts to run......Ive created a New Red Wire from Solenoid to Controller, checked all connections....cannot find anything.....its like a kid that pretends to be sick so doesn't have to go to school, but when I get ready to take to doctor for a shot, BAM, gets all better........
Suggestions???? 2007 EZGO TXT with Alltrax 500A, Heavy Duty Solenoid, Optima Battery System with aux Battery System for Lights & Winch.. |

Well here is a standard wiring diagram but if you have run a new wire from the solenoid to the controller and the solenoid is clicking then your activation circuit is working. http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...g-manuals.html
If you are getting 36+ volts between b- on the controller and the red wire going to the controller your controller may be bad. |

Could be a solenoid getting ready to go. If the contacts intermittently don't close properly. That might explain the lack of lights on the controller. Even failed Alltrax's in my case have always lit up green, just nothing else happens.
FYI a solenoid can click but still not work. |

Depends on how it’s wired but same source that activates the solenoid should activate the controller.

I thought controller got its B+ source from the solenoid after it clicked? Every Alltrax unit we've dealt with have it click first, then it flashes green five times, then steady green meaning 'good to go'.

What is the voltage on the solenoid's small terminal with the red wires attached when solenoid clicks, but Alltrax controller does not power up?
The voltage might be high enough to energize solenoid and still below the KSI setting in the Alltrax. What model controller, AXE, NPX, SPM or SR? |

Again depends on how it is wired but if you look at the alltrax diagram pin 1 gets its power from the same source as the small pin of the solenoid.

Five green flashes is for a Yamaha 0-1k throttle. EZGO throttles are four green flashes for the ITS type throttle or one green flash for the 1-5k pot box throttle. |
