Replacing/upgrading 36v motor???
So I’m having issues with my 36v motor. I am having intermittent power losses. I hav changed the solenoid, resistor, remanded controller is less than year old, batteries are 8months old, and ITS sensor. Only thing left i can think it would be is the motor! Not sure if brushes coil or what. I’m just going to replace it. I see several on eBay for $400-600. I have attached a pic of one that is a speed motor but says for a lifted cart i need to get a high amp solenoid! Do i really need to upgrade my solenoid and cables ? It said if it was a factory cart i didn’t need to upgrade anything. Any advice on this? Or should i just get a regular factory motor?

Larger tires and wheels increase load on the motor, controller, solenoid, and cables. Think about it this way, with larger tires, every motor rotation has to push the cart further than if the stock size tires were in place.

Or if i get speed motor upgrade solenoid and cables? The controller on it now has the cart going 17 before it started the intermittent power loss

We would need to know how you use your cart and if you need to go faster or add torque for climbing hills with extra people. What cart do you have and is it a sepex or series drive(see sticky’s to help).

Before you throw more parts at it, maybe some if the experts here (I'm not one of them) can help you diagnose the problem. You might save yourself some money. What type of drive system is it? Series or Sepex(PDS/DCS). What year model? Reman controllers are known to have problems

Here are 3 pics of the motor. I think it’s a DCS and it has no speed sensor. The back of the forward/reverse switch is metal like pictured above. Sorry for being so vague I’m kinda new building a cart
