Problem With Rxv
Hello Everyone!
This is my first post... Great forum, everyone here is helpful and friendly. I enjoy reading everyone's threads and responses. I've acquired an used '07 RXV and it's a basket case. At first it would run and while driving it and die, now it's dead. The 4 batteries and all connection are cleaned and good. When turning key to "REV" warning horn sounds, but cart won't move when pressing pedal. I don't have a wiring scehmatic nor have I found one. I haven't read any threads on RXV model. Any suggestion? |

Re: Problem With Rxv
RXV's didn't exist until 2008. With that said - they are more like cars, instead of golf carts now. I would suggest you take it to an authorized dealership that has the proper diagnostic handheld. This can save you countless hours and money...

Re: Problem With Rxv
I don't know - there are NO EZGO's that you have to turn the the key for reverse except for the RXV? We just have a mis-informed friend here. Still - I suggest getting it to a dealership!

Re: Problem With Rxv
Thanks all for your quick responses. I acquired this RXV cart bc I did a job and this person couldn't pay the bill (who knows where he got it from). Thanks Roady89 for the link, the parts manual is of great help! Are there any wiring schematics online?
Again thanks everyone!! |

Re: Problem With Rxv
The RXV is a "smart" car. When you turn it on it checks itself for faults. If it finds one, it will not run. The most common fault I have found is one bad cell in a battery. Read the section in the owners manual on checking batteries. If it is not something simple like a low cell, I would take Mike's advice and take it to a dealer who has a hand held diagnosis unit that can read the different fault codes and pinpoint the problem.
