Default upgrading to 48V 2013 RXV ?

From a 1990 Yamaha 36V, and previously from a gas 2003 Yamaha.

This ones just in off a course, original batteries, asking $3,750 (I'm in Canada)

Is that in line price wise?

Anything in particular I should look for?

We need to know if it's all stock or what? Needing batteries is a big minus to me your looking at $700-800 dollars in my area for new batteries.

Yes I think that is way to much + needing batteries.

Let see what others think.

I agree... I paid about $4,000 for my first RXV, a 2012, but it was because I was flush with money at the time and I could spend no time to shop around. It was bought for my sister so she could drive it out to check the mailbox daily (we had mail being stolen) while I was working in DC more than I was home. Once I decided to re-retire from DC and stay home more, I started driving it myself. I know better than to pay that much now, and I would not recommend paying more than $2500 for a fresh off-lease RXV with original batteries. I can buy for less than that now, but that is because I've made a few contacts in the wholesale chain for off-lease carts.

Yeah, well this is Canada where every friggen thing is more expensive LOL

My limited local research shows it to be a mediocre deal...

So, if I decide to get it, what other particular things should I look at or check, in relation to this year/model?

Pay close attention to the wires & cables where they pass by the batteries on the passenger side enroute to the motor. Corrosion is fairly common here.

Just FYI guys today 7/13/18 $3750 Canadian is about $2850 US.

I'd look at how well the cart was cared for. Do cables look Frayed & Corroded? Is there a lot of dirt under the seat? Does the controller or resistor look like they've ever overheated? Is the rear end quiet or whining loudly? Does the wiring harness look like it's in good shape? Is the body relatively clean of marks? How bad does the floor mat look like it's worn? Can they tell you how many hours are on the cart (readable with the Curtis handheld programmer.) Is the plastic under the seat (Battery Tray, Cover over the controller) brittle? Any bearing noises or rattles in the front suspension?

My take is your talking an extra $350 over Bob's suggestion.

(And it might be as good as it gets with all the Tariffs being imposed everywhere.....)

I ended up paying 3200 for it. It was very clean, no worn looking areas or major scuffs.

Man, this thing is a pretty nice upgrade!!! The true "get on/get off" capability, actually being able to accelerate on a slope, the electric braking on hills, nice dash lay out and storage...

I detailed it and it came out very pristine. Happy so far This thing ROCKS my G2E. Time will tell, I still miss my gas Yamaha

Congrats!!!!

You paid about $2667 US.

Not that it matters but that is how most of us think.... I spent 10 years selling software for IBM where I covered Canada, the US, & Mexico. So, fortunately or unfortunately, my brain always translates to US dollars. That’s the only way I can do the math...

If you decide to upgrade or customize, follow these forums & ask questions. BobBoyce and CGTech are more knowledgeable than I am but we’re all here to make you successful.

Have Fun
Keith
