Default Rear axle loose with leaf spring off?

The U-Bolt that holds the leaf spring to the rear axle on my 2009 RXV broke the other day. I was working on replacing it and putting it back together, but the rear axle moves alot with the one leaf spring off. When its jacked up, i can easily move it back and forth. Is that normal, or could there be something else wrong?

Sounds normal to me?....There is no drive shaft, as the motor is bolted on to the axel...So with the leaf disconnected 50% isnt fastened at all then. I would expect it to go front and back, up and down.

Yep normal and that is why you don't want to take both U bolts off at once. Look at your bushing while your there and replace them if they are bad.
