Default RXV 2013 - Is my solenoid wired incorrectly?

Reading other posts in the forums, i'm looking for a place to connect a 48V voltage reducer to a switched 48V source. Found some posts suggesting to connect to big bolts on the solenoid as those are zero with ignition off and 48V when switched on.

However, mine is the opposite. With the ignition off meters shows 48V across big bolts, zero across smaller bolts. The opposite happens when the ignition is off.

I bought this cart from another person who did some modifications and have messed around myself.

Is my solenoid wired properly? From what I'm reading in the posts it is not. The cart is working however so I don't want to fix it if it isnt broken :)

Thanks

Yes, it is correct. The way you measured it is why you are not reading it correctly. You should connect your meter - to battery pack - and meter + on one or the other big solenoid terminal, not read it across the 2 big terminals on the solenoid. When you read it that way, it will read 0 with the solenoid on. Your reducer +48V input should wire to the solenoid terminal with the strap to controller B+. Be sure to turn your key off and set your run/tow switch to tow before making any electrical connection changes. You do not want to glitch your controller.
