2005 TXT fuses?
Working on a 2005 TXT for the church. On the rear wheel well inside the battery compartment there is a fuse block with a green wire with 12 volts from the battery on the other side is an orange wire a black/ white wire and a red wire. All the fuses are physically broken and they are all 15A. Is that the correct amperage for all the fuses?

Re: 2005 TXT fuses?
That sounds like a factory installation. Cart has 3 position key switch with "off, on and on with lights" correct?
15 amp is the correct fuse. The green wire is positive 12v from the rear center battery. That battery and the one next to it on the passenger side provide 12v for accessories. Blue/white wire goes to the switch. Orange to the horn probably. Red is for lights including brake lights/flasher if equipped. |

Re: 2005 TXT fuses?
That is correct kernal! It has lights, the key switch with an extra lights position and a horn button riveted to the floor. The cart has been ridden hard and put up wet. I’d like to install an amber flashing beacon for parking lot safety. Is the key switch the best place to pull 12v so no one can accidentally leave the light on? Thank you!

Re: 2005 TXT fuses?
Consider installing a 12v reducer or a separate battery to power your accessories. The guys in the know here will tell you that pulling the 12v from two batteries, as ezgo did in your case, draws power unequally and negatively affects the pack.
Once you have a proper 12v source, you can switch the light through the key or a separate on off switch. |
