Default Voltage Meter

Any suggestions for a good voltage meter? I have a 2002 Ezgo Txt PDS 36 volt cart. Thanks

Wire it to come on with your key switch, like the factory one, or go straight to the batteries and it will always be on. I like it always on. It doesn’t draw any real power and you can see the status of your pack anytime you walk by the cart.

Another vote for cartsunlimited. My meter is dead on when checked against several high end DVM's. It's fun watching the voltage change under different conditions.

With a DPI charger, you can honestly say it doesn't drain ANY power from the battery pack.

Voltage meters are fun to look at, but I wouldn't trust them for true SoC info if my life depended on it. By the time they read halfway your pack is already too low for the controller to be reliable, and if it gets down to where it is flashing 'charge dead!' at you most of the time they never reset to full after you charge them.

So if I do end up getting one you’re saying make sure you get a full charge before the meter reads halfway?

I think he was referring to the little light bar type meter, not the LED that shows actual voltage readings in numbers. The bar type is notoriously inaccurate.

The one I linked in my earlier post is not the graph type. It gives you an actual readout. I don’t know the + - specs, but ivecompared it with my mm and it’s right there. Lots of people here use them.

Don't waste your time on the bar meters. Get one from ScottyB.

Ok so I’m going to order a digital meter. My questions is, what reading will I get when I need to recharge the batteries? I have a 2002 36 volt Ezgo Txt PDS cart.
