Default EZ GO Electric Light Kit - Integrating Turn Signals/Brake Lights

Hello - I recently purchased a 2010 EZGO RXV 48 v Electric cart. The cart has Headlights and Tail Lights, but no turn signals, brake Lights, or Horn. I would like to add, at a minimum, turn signals and brake lights. Do I need to get an entirely new light kit and install it? The Headlights appear to have the yellow amber turn signal indicator in them already.

Is the light kit an EZGO OEM kit or an after market kit?

The issue is going to be your connectors to the lights.

The amber turn signal will need to be connected separately from the headlights.

Its definitely aftermarket, the aftermarket kit wiring is so variable I don't know what it would take. It would help to see the wiring under the cupholders. If it is easily adaptable, the hints will be there.

While you're checking things, it looks, from your pic, like your alignment is way out of whack...

I'm curious about this as well... Mine lights are using an aftermarket madjax harness that is wired directly to the battery closest to the drivers side. I just want break lights.

Swm63 - what made ya think misalignment? And how do I test it? Like a normal car - drove down road and see if it kicks to one side when I let go?

Also - for the lighting - sounds like I need to remove the cup holder and look under and take some pics

I think that new members have to post a certain amount before we can post pics. I took my cup holder off but can’t post a pic.

I have done this before, so stick with it, and I will help. I posted the "pizza box" wire diagram for brake lights, but, my phone killed/erased everything since then. The pics are in other "I want brake lights" threads, and I will help all I can.

baller,
From the pic it looks like your left front tire is pointing slightly left and the right front is pointing slightly right. Kind of like \ / I don't have an RXV and I don't have a spindle lift, but alignment procedures can be found on this site. If it steers straight, great. But mis-alignment leads to premature tire wear and instability at speed.
