06 TXT brake pulsing issue
I installed new hubs, new shoes and new cables. I adjusted the star wheels fro correct friction. Turning hubs by hand results in alternating heavy to light friction about every 1/2 turn. It happens on both sides of the cart. This is the second set of hubs and shoes. Significantly better with this set, but still annoying under heavy braking. Hubs out of round maybe?
FYI, all axles, axle bearings and seals are new in the last 90 days. |

Re: 06 TXT brake pulsing issue
The high spots are normal, so Ill say you are correct on your adjustment.
Because its an ezgo, Id scuff the drums. For me I use a cutoff wheel on the inside of the drum. Its just a light scuff to "give it some color" so to speak. This will correct your issue |

Re: 06 TXT brake pulsing issue
Thanks for the quick reply. I hadn't thought of that, but it makes sense. I'll give it a try. Really doubt I could find a place to turn these small drums.
