Rear seat foam/wood

I have an older Madjax rear seat. I’m putting new vinyl on the seats and the wood on the seat is rotted. I was just gonna replace the wood but it seems it glued to the foam and seems like it’s gonna screw up the foam getting it off. The foam is also formed around edges of the wood. Also the foam was wet and has mildew/mold. Anyone know where I can buy the wood/foam combo?

If you live near a lake or the ocean, you might check with someone that specializes in boat upholstery. Most of those folks are really good at making replacement seat bases using marine grade plywood, and have access to new mold & mildew resistant foam.

They use the existing seat base as the template.

I foam was stuck to the plywood to and i used a putty knife to slowly free it without pulling it off in chunks and replaced plywood and hardware.
