Default Alltrax "overcurrent" then shut down??

I'm getting this "overcurrent" error then the cart shuts off. I looked up this error in the alltrax manual and it says it's triggered when current exceeds that which is set for the motor or the battery.

Both of these setting are at 300 amps. I can't seem to figure this one out

300 isn't much. What cart, controller, motor are you posting about?

It's a 2010 TXT48, stock motor with the Mzj-200 solenoid. The controller is a XCT-48400-TXT48

Alltrax is saying it's possibly a bad controller. I got this response.

"*An overcurrent error occurs from one of 2 things. Either the motor is pulling more current than the controller can provide. Or the controller is faulty. I would start by removing the wire going to the M- terminal on the controller and see if the error code still flashes. If it does that would indicate a controller problem."

Also this controller should be turned up to 400a for a run test before you pull it out.

Are you getting it in a stall condition like trying to drive over an obstacle or curb?

Also, connect a laptop, save a data log and post it here. That will show us Armature (motor) amps, Field amps and Battery amps, and motor RPM when over-current error occurs.

I disconnected the M- wire which is the wire to the motor as requested by Alltrax to verify if it was in fact a motor issue and I continued to get the "overcurrent" error. With that, Alltrax gave me a return authorization number aka RMA so I boxed it up today and sent it Alltrax.

Hopefully, I'll have a new controller back soon.

Update:

I installed the replacement controller from Alltrax because they said the first one was confirmed to have a hardware issue. Got it installed and it threw the same error immediately.*

I replaced the entire battery pack because I thought maybe the batteries were the issue. Didn't work. Same error.

I replaced the solenoid because I already ruled out the motor, battery pack and controller so I figured this is the only thing left. Didn't work. Same error.

Not sure where to go from here. Any chance this new controller is defective?

Battery amps, motor rpm and field amps are all extremely low when the error occurrs. For example the motor RPMs never get over 1k before it the automatic shutdown occurrs.

The actual error says "hardware_overcurrent" the Alltrax support person said, he's never seen this error occur before. With that, the chances of getting two defective controllers in a row has to be nearly impossible.
