charging question
on a old EZGO medalist 36 volt with a total charge 3 charger Will the charger turn on if the battery pack voltage is 38.3 volts?
I just drove the cart for 2 miles the pack went down to 37.7 and within a few minutes the pack went to 38.3 volts. and if I plug in the charger it wont come on. |

Re: charging question
A TC-III charger should turn on if it senses a pack voltage is above about 30V, so the question is, is it sensing >30V?
What is the voltage between the B+ and B- terminals in the cart's charge port? If it is same as pack voltage (38.3V or so), try resetting the circuit breaker on front of TC-III. If that doesn't do the trick, you'll have to open the TC-III and measure the voltage between the red and black wires on the control board. Here's the manual. |
