Default 2003 TXT PDS from 36V to 42V

I have a chance to get another battery this weekend to see what difference 42 volts is over 36. This is just a "trial" for a day as I don't have a charger but intend t have mine charged and do the other with a 6v charger.
My main question is I have an Alltrax XCT400PDS controller. Do I need to change anything I the programming before I do this?
Anything else I need to do?
Thanks

You should be okay for a test but -
If it has a 36v solenoid I would keep the solenoid coil on 36v if the system will permanently run on 42v.
To do this run the solenoid small (-) wire to the 6th battery negative.

I guess I don't know. It was a package I bought from you with the 200 amp solenoid. Don't know if they voltage specific or not.

How do I know if the solenoid is 36v or 48v? I didn't know if they were "both" like a controller or not.

Coil voltage is usually printed on the solenoid's label.

The only solenoid I know of that works with 36V, 42V and 48V battery packs is the MZJ400.

Thanks! I'm pretty sure that is what I got from ScottyB. I will check.

All of the black Sw180 200a solenoids are voltage specific. Better off to have a 48v solenoid run under voltage than a 36v run over voltage.
