36v series cart unsure of the year..solenoid click but no go
I’ve got this cart that’s got new batteries, new F&R switch and solenoid. The cart won’t move but I have a solenoid click with the pedal every time. Thinking it may be a controller problem but I’d like to rule that out before pulling this one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Look for the nameplate to figure out the year and model. You can then look for electrical diagrams in the stickies to start tracing out your control circuits to make sure everything is connected correctly.

36v series cart unsure of the year..solenoid click but no go
Nameplate is rubbed off and I’m 100% sure everything is wired correctly. Just unsure of any test to do to rule out controller and/or motor. It has S1 & S2 and A1 & A2 motor markings if that helps

Re: 36v series cart unsure of the year..solenoid click but no go
Thanks that did help and all signs are starting to point to the controller. I measured between B- and M- on the controller when I press the pedal and once the solenoid clicks it goes up to ALMOST full pack voltage but doesn’t ever try to go back down to zero whatsoever..it stays at about 2 volts below pack voltage with the pedal depressed fully. I had a new ITS and put it on and still get the same results. Thoughts?

Helped a friend with a similar issue a few weeks back and it was his solenoid. He was getting the click, but no movement so we thought it was something else at first. Jumped the 2 large posts on the solenoid and it started working, so we replaced it.

Hopefully you can get it figured out, if not, I just removed my working 2001 txt controller and solenoid to upgrade to 48 volt. If you end up needing to replace, I have them available and will sell at a very fair price.

Thanks and I thought the same thing and went ahead and replaced the solenoid but It’s still doing the same thing. Pretty sure the FET’s inside the controller have stopped responding for whatever reason. Possibly a bad resistor causing a short?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
