92 Electric EZGO won’t go
I have a 36v series EZGO cart that won’t move. New batteries, solenoid, potentiometer, motor, and F-N-R switch. Potentiometer, motor and solenoid all check good. I used the process in the manual to check voltage at A1, A2, S1, S2, F-N-R, etc. and all check ok. I don’t understand why I have 37v with pedal down and 27v with pedal up. All looks good but won’t run. Help please!! Anyone have any ideas ???

Re: 92 Electric EZGO won’t go
Welcome to BGW - back to basics question.
Does the solenoid click when you try to go? If no - do you get 36v between the 2 small solenoid posts when you try to go? |

Yes, solenoid clicks. I have 0v with pedal up and 37v pedal down.

Re: 92 Electric EZGO won’t go
Do you have power to the controller pin #1 when the solenoid clicks?
Is there a consistent throttle signal 0-5000 ohms from the potentiometer ( to check disconnect pin #2&3 wires and plug the meter in these, then depress the pedal ( no power needed) if yes... put meter on DC voltage put test leads on controller B- and M-. the voltage should read same as the pack when the solenoid just clicks and should go down to zero when the pedal is depressed. |

Re: 92 Electric EZGO won’t go
Key on and F-N-R in F. 37v between pin #1 and battery negative without touching pedal. Pressing pedal makes no change.
Potentiometer has correct reading. Key on and F-N-R in F. 27v between B- and M-, 37v after click, no change when pedal is depressed. |

Re: 92 Electric EZGO won’t go
I have ordered a new controller. Is there any way to check the wiring in and out of the potentiometer? A shop installed a new F-N-R switch with micro switches. They have the white/black wires switched going into the potentiometer. The white from C on MS 4 is connected to the black going into the potentiometer, and the black from NC to the white. Any to check before I connect my new controller???
