Default Charger question

I'm in the middle of a slow 36v - 48v upgrade.

My cart is a 2008 ezgo mpt800.

I traded some of the 36v parts for a 48v charger, which is in the picture. My question is do I need to change the charger receptacle on the cart, it can I just change the plug on the charger? The receptacles that match the plug on the 48v charger seem to have more small wires coming out of them. At least that what it looks like on eBay..

I guess I don't know if this charger will even work with this system. It's a 48v ezgo delta q charger.

I'm attaching pics of the charger, male plug on the charger, and female receptacle on the cart. Tell me what I need to do to make it work haha.

That SC-48 charger uses the port on the cart for temperature data, but I think you can change your old charger handle on there with one little modification. Inside the current handle I would expect to see a white (B+), black (B-) and green (temp/data) wire. If you added a 10k resistor inside the handle, connected to black and green wires, it should trick the "temp sensor" issue into thinking everything is ok. Inside your old handle, you may find a pink wire attached to a sliding contact in between the 2 main terminals, it will need to be removed. If this makes no sense, I can help further, but pictures of what you find would be helpful so I can draw on them for you. Also, that charger is not a real good one, but at least it's newer.

That's a lot of info haha.

I'm going to have to purchase one end or the other. Can I just buy the receptacle and install it? Do the temp wires go to the batteries?

I realize what I am asking is a little confusing...Let me try to clarify.

I have the charger that is pictured above.
I have the old receptacle (d shape)

I want to replace the receptacle with the one that fits the handle on the charger.

I have the new receptacle, I just don't know how to wire it in because of the different configuration. Can someone tell me how to wire in the receptacle.

Thanks

1. Black wire to battery pack's main negative terminal.
2. Red wire to battery pack's main positive terminal.
3. Gray cable with black box behind ring terminal is the temperature sensor and can be connected to any available battery terminal.
4. Blue wire with black in-line connector connects to cart's wiring harness's red wire that used to connect to the reed switch in the original charge port.

When I wires up the ble line you are talking about to the blue key switch wire ( where the old red and white wire went) I got all kinds of weird readings on the dvm. Ended up wiring the key switch wire straight to pack positive. It works, but I know it's not right
