back up alarm only works when battery is low
I have an ezgo pds. The backup alarm only works when battery is low. It has also been left in reverse with the key removed and when battery gets low it starts to beep until it is switched out of reverse. I wanted to know if this a common issue, and if I should not worry about it or if I should try an fix it.

Peedee,
An EZ-Go cart will sound the reverse alarm with or without the key "ON". It's a safety thing. A PDS cart will have a sticker on the controller cover with instructions and explanations of putting the cart in "diagnostic mode". Try this and let's see what the cart tells you. |

I did the diagnostics, but it only did 1 beep. So either I did it wrong or there are no faults.

Did you drive that cart around some while in diagnostic mode?

No I didn't drive it around. What are you supposed to do. Put key in off position then push reverse 5 times then what do you do.

Then you drive it around and listen for any beep codes. If there are no beeps, then the system thinks it's fine.

Thanks for the information I will try that tonight. I guess it makes sense you have to drive it to check for problems.
