All HD F&R switches created equal?
Just like the title says, are all Heavy duty F&R switches created equal? I see them all over the internet at all different prices, some high and some low. Just wondering if any one is different than the other and why?
Thanks |

The one that Carts Unlimited sells has the largest contacts and heaviest bus bars. Also, you night consider replacing the problematic mechanical F/R switch with a reversing contactor |

Re: All HD F&R switches created equal?
Thanks for the information. I think I'll stick with a good HD F&R switch for now. I'm not one to abuse any of my toys and I know the limitations of what I'm building. I'm sure the reversing contactor is better, but I just don't feel it's necessary.

The problem with the "standard" type of F/R switch is that no matter what you do.....it's the weakest link in the power supply. After I did the upgrade....and that was at least 3 years ago.....I've had no issues with the "fresh smell of rubber burning." Albeit, I don't know how ScottyB makes money on a product that last a really, really long time!! |

I've had Scotty's HD F/R switch in my Medalist for 5 or 6 years with no issues at all.

That’s good enough for me, I’ll be sticking with the HD F&R switch.
