Default Alltrax 400 XCT400

Thanks Scotty G again for all the help advise.

I am about to swap out my stock controller and tow switch for the ALTRAX XCT400 2G cables and upgraded solenoid this weekend. The cart is a 1996 I think EZGO serial 973443 mfg K0396 stock motor with stock tires. I bought new batteries 6 6volt staying 36 volt.

Is there any real "gotyas" I need to look out for. I plan to label everything I can before I start. Pictures too. I read ScottyG's "how to" instructions a couple of times to be familiar with the process. Thanks

Your serial no. indicates the cart is a DCS. Make sure that is true and if so make sure to get the Alltrax XCT for DCS carts. (XCT400DCS)

If anyone is unsure of the drive system type for their cart go here and start where Scotty asks you to start your upgrade > http://www.cartsunlimited.net/upgrade-suggestions.html

Ahh, did I link him to the wrong install? Sorry about that and glad it was caught.

Not only take pictures of everything but draw diagrams. Because just when you need information on a particular wire and you look at your photos you will find it hidden behind other wires. Use paper and pencil to draw and label wire color and terminal numbers where everything goes. Especially with the diodes. If your wires aren't labeled, label them as you take them off especially if you have a situation with same colored wires.

That would be a pds controller. Won’t work for you without mods.
