Default Cart has to sit 5 minutes after charging

48v Ezgo txt, 48500 Alltrax. I’ve noticed a few times that right after charging my cart that the controller clicks but it won’t go. If it sits for about 5 minutes after unplugging the charger then it will go. Any ideas?

Check the maximum voltage setting in the Alltrax controller.

Thanks, I don’t have the ability to do that today. I just took it off the charger and when I pressed the accelerator it double clicked and didn’t go. After 2 or 3 times it took off.

What sergio said. It is probably too low. Option 2 is to turn on the head lights and go the first time. But once you raise that setting it should be good.

So I brought my cart home on Sunday, charged it and unplugged it yesterday. After sitting unplugged for approx 24 hours the pack voltage is at 51.6 v. All the battery levels are good. 3 batteries are at 8.59 v, 2 at 8.57v and 1 at 8.55v. I’m gonna check a few things today. Can someone explain to me what I need to check? Thanks.

There's nothing to check. Your controller's max voltage simply needs to be raised.

Ok, just seems kind of weird. I had a defective Alltrax controller and they sent me a new one at the end of July and it’s been working fine since. How do I check the maximum voltage?

Download the TOOLKIT software and read the user manual on Alltrax website here > https://alltraxinc.com/alltrax-tool-kit/

Are you saying it's worked since July, and with no other changes - batteries, charger - it has just now started needing to be discharged before driving?

No other changes, I don’t recall having to wait a minute or 2 after unplugging before it would go. I have a separate battery for my lights. I’m using the cart more now because I use it for hunting.
