Default Ezgo pds golf cart limp mode

Cart goes into limp mode when going full power. I was think speed sensor but it does something else that makes me think it could be wiring/controller issue. When the cart is in tow. It will still move forward only in limp mode. The cart will also not go in diagnostic mode.

1. When the cart is in tow. It will still move forward only in limp mode.

2. The cart will also not go in diagnostic mode.
1. The Run/Tow switch removes both auxiliary and logic power from the controller when in Tow, so the cart shouldn't move at all under its own power. You can push it or pull it and gravity can roll it downhill, but other than that, it shouldn't move.

2. Are you trying to say the cart cannot be driven when controller is in diagnostic mode, or are you saying the controller will not go into diagnostic mode?

Cart still has power in tow

It will not give Any diagnostic beeps

Once it goes in limp mode I can flip run tow and it’s out of limp mode but will go back once I give full power

Controller ought to be dead in Tow mode. Unplug the Run/Tow switch and check with Ohmmeter. Pin-1 connects to Pin-2 and Pin-3 connect to Pin-4.

Before going further, we are talking about a stock 36V PDS controller (Curtis 1206MX) aren't we?

I think he means he can cycle the R/T switch not turn to tow but, turn to tow and back to run which reboots the failing controller. Replace it.

Thank you for clarifying. As Johnnie said the Run Tow switch should prevent the cart from running in TOW. SO check the R/T switch wiring and the switch function itself for starters.
Cutting out at full throttle is either a throttle signal error or a controller failure

I don't see how that is possible unless the cart is mis-wired or the controller has failed in some really weird way.

Me neither. I guess it’s a controller issue. I think I have everything hook up
