Default Alltrax XTC 500 Error Code

I have the Alltrax XTC 500 controller and the MOT - B3 motor on my 2001 PDS cart. When I turn on the ignition I get a solid green light on the controller but once I press the throttle and hear the solenoid click it flashes a 1 Green and 1 Red code which shows to be a 'Short Circuit/Output Fault' in the owners manual. Ideas on where I should start looking for the issue?

Thanks!

The owners manual says to check the wiring for a short. PDS carts are susceptible to frayed motor wires at the battery box.

Ok, checked the F wires and battery cables. The wires and connectors are all in good condition between the controller and motor.

Disconnect the battey mains then all the wires at the motor. do a continuity test on the motor. You should have continuity between the two A terminals and between the two F terminals but not between any F and any A terminal.

Let us know

Scotty, I do have continuity between the A terminals and the F terminals but not between either A to F. So that seems to be fine too.

They had me remove the J9 cable from the controller to see if the error still shows. It does so they are saying its a bad controller.

SO without the motor connected the error remained...Well, that's better than a bad motor... the controller is covered? Yes

Alltrax is the BEST> don't try that with a curtis or fsip controller

AND they will do the same in 2 years - if needed.
