Default 1995 medalist motor reclocking

I just installed a lift kit in my 1995 Medalist. The bottom cables on the motor are below the battery tray. I pretty sure I can rotate the motor a quarter of a turn to bring them back up. Just wanted to ask to make sure I can.

Sure can, as long as all the bolts line up. My 1998 only uses 3, and can easily be rotated.

Mine uses three bolts also. I believe there is a forth hole I can use, I just haven't checked yet. Just wondering if anyone knew.

Mine also has four holes. I recall more than one post where folks rotated their motor, for various reasons.

Don't worry. A motor doesn't care how it's installed, as long as it's secure. All it does is spin.

If you rotate the motor, you will put your forward speed 1/3 of a turn out of phase, reducing your top speed by 1/3, and totally eliminating reverse.

JUST KIDDING! Won't be any problem, as long as you get 3 bolts to line up again.

But you better check your wire bearings & blinker fluid!

It's good to ask if you're unsure. Better safe than sorry. In this case, there is NO reason NOT to rotate. Just make sure the four studs where the cables connect are free from contacting anything. Maybe have someone jump up and down on the rear seat or bagwell, to be sure.

Oh crap!!! He said he was "reclocking". Is that anything like overclocking a CPU?

Also joking. You'll be fine.

I tried that once, and I heard about the benefits of water cooling. I poured a whole glass in there, but it actually slowed it down. Maybe I should have used distilled water.

Nope. Deionized water, like we used in several labs I supervised. We called it DI water, and it'll really overclock a CPU. In fact, DI water is an insulator. Dissolved solids make water somewhat conductive.

Hah. Spellchecker wants to turn deionized into "demonized".

LOL, I get it. My CPU is water cooled, but not currently over clocked. It's setup more for quiet than it is for raw HP.
