Volt Gauge issue
I am one of ScottyB volt gauges in my 1999 series cart that is wired through the key switch. Normally when the key is off the gauge is off. This weekend at deer camp there was a lot of rain and now when the key is off the gauge shows 9.8V. I disconnected and then reconnected the battery pack with no change. Bad key switch???

Re: Volt Gauge issue
Perhaps a wet key switch. Suggest you dry it out with a hair blower and perhaps spray it with contact cleaner.

Quote:
The DVMs Scotty sells have a high impedance input, draw very little current and it only takes about 7V to power them up, so something like a spider web or a few mouse droppings between the wires at the switch could cause the symptoms you've described when they get damp. |

Re: Volt Gauge issue
Good catch. Deer camp plus rain. No telling what bugs or rodents could have left a present.
