05 ezgo clicks but no go
Thanks for any help anyone can give. It’s a 05 ezgo mpt, Almost new batts, new 2 gauge wire, new 500amp soilinoid and controller(altraxx) new push button f&r(after getting a bad new reg one) new it’s thing. Had cart going, the rear would shake at start and low speeds then even out as it goes faster. After a couple of days it is intermittently moving. Batts full 38.6. Kinda lost on following the power with all the wires being changed around and stuff. Tried following the reg way of testing everything but I think I’m doing something wrong.
Thanks George |

Re: 05 ezgo clicks but no go
I also put cart on jack and floored it and tried moving every wire to see if anything was loose. Last time I was testing took the resistor off one big post, tested it and put it back on. Hit the petal and rear wheels went until I let off and has not moved again. Thanks

When that happened to me...
Turned out to be the "famous" connector from the ITS (accelerator) and the controller. Unplug, check for corrosion, etc.. clean with a little contact cleaner spray and replug ... see if that helps ! |

Re: 05 ezgo clicks but no go
When I test the its white wire at the altraxx controller I get 7.90v when it clicks and 5.38 when it’s floored. I cleaned the contacts and got the same reading when I was done.

You're probably getting some error codes. The LED will blink green then red. |

Re: 05 ezgo clicks but no go
It blinks 4 times green then goes solid green if not floored and red if floored. Did some more readings following same website. All batts from 6.47-6.53. B+ and B- when It clicks and floored I get 38.8. B+ and m- click is 35.3 and floored is 38.8.

Re: 05 ezgo clicks but no go
Try measuring from B- terminal on controller to M- terminal.
You ought to get full battery pack voltage (38.8V) when pedal is pushed just far enough to make solenoid click and decrease to 0V when pedal is pushed to floor. Can you connect a laptop to the SR controller? If so are any error flags set on the monitor screen? |

M- and B- when it clicks I get 3.43v and drops to zero. I hooked up the computer and no errors.

The MOSFETs inside the controller are between the B- and M- terminals. When the pedal is up, they are turned off so there is an open between B- and M- and it should be the only open in the series circuit, so you ought to have full battery pack voltage between B- and M-. You only have ~3.5V, so there is another open (or high resistance connection) in the high current circuit. ------ Since the voltage between B- and M- decreases to zero when pedal is pushed to floor, the controller appears to be working. Maybe the ITS voltage is close enough to work. |

Re: 05 ezgo clicks but no go
Well my friend came over and went inside with the cart jacked up and floored not working. Came out a min later, it’s off the jack stand smashing into a bunch of stuff in my garage. Now it works like it should. When it acts up again I will try and figure where I’m loosing my power. Hopefully I will figure it out, if not I will try here again. Thanks again
