Default Ezgo info

I just got a 36v ezgo that needs new batteries and all new cables. The cart is in real good shape and is just a plain cart set up for the golf course. The plate in the passenger side of the dash has a manufacturer code 111594, I'm assuming this was made in November of 1994, am I correct? Any heads up with this model, or anything I need to be aware of. Thanks for any advice.

before you buy batteries and a set of cables.....decide what you are going to do with your cart, as in how you will use it, and what you want it to be able to do. are you going to upgrade the controller and F&R switch? put larger wheels/tires? put a rear seat on it? do you want do go faster?? these are all questions you should decide on before you start spending a single dime.

I just want a golf cart for the wife and kids to use around the campgrounds and house. Depending on costs i would like to convert it to a 48v system but am not sure what all that involves and costs, because I am going to put a back seat on it, and would like to lift it and use bigger tires. If it is going to be cost prohibitive to do that than I will just keep it stock. I only paid 700 for it, don't think that was to bad of a deal when it just needs new batteries. I'm researching going to 48v to see.

Go there for the best packages for a 48v upgrade. Also, there is a ton of great reading there to learn all about carts and upgrades.

700 is a good deal in my part of the country.

When you add the rear seat you will probably want to add heavy duty rear springs as well.

My brother in law has a 36v EZGO with an upgraded controller and motor and it has served him well, but now that he's had it for a 5+ years the batteries are ready for replacement and he's going 48v. The Alltrax controller he bought is 36v and 48v compatible... So even if you stay 36v, if you buy stuff for the cart try to buy stuff that is compatible with 48v.
