Stuck in the mud

I recently acquired a retired golf course buggy, an early/mid 2000's txt for the purpose of being my yard tractor of sorts. I just got it stuck in the mud today~ in a whopping ONE INCH of the slime. I clearly need something with more grip than an ice cube on Teflon, and would like to go oversize- without creating a science project out of the suspension. The stockers as you all well know are 18x8.5x8's, and cursory measurements indicate I can squeeze a 20'' tire on there. Anybody gone to 22's without inviting extra body/suspension mod's?

You will be ok with 29" on a stock TXT but that is it without some amount of suspension lift. And offset wheels.

I'm going to have to assume that's a typo, because to go from an 18" to a 29" tire would necessitate the use of both a sawzall and a cutting torch~ with a complete loss of turning radius as well....

Please don't pull my leg~ I have bad knees....

Scorpion knobbies 20x10x8 on a stock rim for the rear work good. Had them on several ranch carts and our mud is slippery clay.

Wonder if those 20x7x8 would work on the front? Thinking about how narrow they would be. Would help with turning in the mud though.

I second Scotty's recommendation for scorpions, i have used them a lot for customers carts and they have always performed well.

They are fine for the front too as long as your front springs are in good condition. If not, you can modify the front axle to place it under the springs to gain a bit of clearance.

Yesterday I needed to traverse a 30' long section of super sloppy red clay sediment with my lithium RXV and a passenger on board... I ventured in to test with just the front tires and they started sliding instead of rolling, then I backed out. I backed up about 10 feet and went full throttle. Shot twin rooster tails of slime about 25 feet, but came out the other side just fine. My tires are 20.5" Street/All-Terrain tires on 14" wheels.
