Default Wanting rxv cart

Im in the process of looking for a rxv cart.

Is there a best or better year model?

Also once i have it would goong to the 10.5:1 gears kill the bottom end bad? I have 4 people (2) kids that will be riding on flat ground onroad.

Ive head of brakes not working as good once you go changing the gears.

Steer clear of the early years (08-10) I believe...they were total nightmares!! I know some people love rxv’s but I stay away from them even to this day because of all the problems I’ve had with them over the years. Keep doing your research and the guys on here can help you a ton when/if you ever have problems with them. Good luck!

If I were you, and you’re willing to do a little homework, I’d use the advanced search and enter rxv and find posts by Bob Boyce. I think the guy knows these things better than ezgo. Also cgtech is an incredible wealth of knowledge. Usgicollector and kgsc are very knowledgeable too.

If you’re not already familiar with the rxv, it would definitely be worth your time to do some reading, especially if you plan on working on it yourself. They are very different from other ezgo carts. I’m not positive, but I think it’s a 2012 and up that you want. You want the Curtis controller not the Danaher.

If you get the right year rxv Bob can help you set it up where you won’t need to change gears for what you want.

Go with the 2012+ RXV with a Curtis controller. These RXV's ride so much better than the TXT's. The more you know about the RXV the more you like it.
