Remove and install SB50 Charger Connector

I have a 1994 EZGO (Model #08L94). I removed this connector(cart side) and disconnected the wires(5’ long)at the controller. Ordered a new SB 50 charger connector assembly w/harness..only problem is the wires are not that long. No way long enough to connect all the way to the controller. I am assuming that these shorter cables are supposed to connect to the positive on one battery and the negative to another battery located under the drivers seat. Will someone please correct me if I’m wrong, or confirm that this is correct with maybe a photo. I have taken really good care of these expensive batteries, and for sure DO NOT want to hook things up wrong and ruin them. Please advise and thanks in advance.

They should go to the positive and negative of the pack.

The cables from the charge receptacle need to be connected to the same battery terminals the B+ and B- cables to the controller are connected to.

As connected, they won't charge the battery pack.

What is wrong? I have the positive of the SB 50 connected to the positive side of battery; negative of SB 50 to negative battery. Please clarify. I don’t read schematics well.

The red & Black is the new SB 50 replacement I was sent. No way this will reach to the - & + posts in your drawing. Please explain.

Unhook everything and start over. Can't see everything you have done but you might have an explosion hazard.

Look at the diagram and CTD's photo.
