Default QuiQ charger

When I got my 2013 TXT 48v last summer, it came with a new QuiQ charger. I have no complaints so far. Yesterday I discovered by accident it starts a new charge cycle if the 120v power is lost. I saw it was down to 50.3v so I planned to pull the plug from the cart to charge it. However, I was using the outlet to run another cord for a few minutes. I plugged the charger cord back in and went to the cart to unplug/replug the charger in and noticed the battery gauge at 61.3v and climbing. It started a charge when I plugged it in. I was under the impression the cart had to be disconnected to start. I'm thinking I can run it on a timer at camp to start a charge every couple weeks if I cant can't there to do it myself.
Has anybody else tried this with a QuiQ?

It will also kick on if you replug in the 120 outlet also. I’ve seen some people on here put there 120 on a timer so it keeps charging the cart

Have a 2012 with same charger. Charger will start anytime it’s unplugged then pluged in again.
Also if you leave it plugged in all the time as I do. Anytime batteries drop below 49 volts charger will automatically kick on.
No worries as it will not over charge batteries and left pluged in.
Charger will do a maint charge if left pluged in,no need for timer.

This is my first QuiQ. I didn't know they did this till I accidentally found out. Great feature. I still want a Yewey down the road, but untill I hit Lotto, this will do great. Thanks for the replies.
