2010 EZGO RXV Electric Cart Ignition Reset Inquiry

Last year my 2010 EZGO RXV electric cart 48volt ceased to move forward or reverse, albeit a slow movement with a somewhat grinding noise. I queried the world wide web and found a forum (this one I think) that suggesting switching the key to fwd then reverse or fwd then neutral numerous times (8 I think) and it would reset something. IT WORKED! Now, I'm experiencing the same thing and I cannot anything with these instructions again. I've attempted to turn the switch to fwd/reverse eight times and even fwd/neutral eight times, but it's not working. Has anyone heard of this type of reset or otherwise know what the problem may be? The batteries are fully charged.

Sounds like the Brake or a speed sensor. Do you smell a burning smell?

Have you tried to download the manual from the stickies here?
Believe your model has a diognosic mode where you turn on key,move forward reverse switch back and forth several times, then count the beeps reverse buzzer makes that indicates a trouble code.
I have a txt but when looking thru manuals thought rxv’s have that option

Rxv does not do this. No diagnostics mode. You are thinking PDS model.

As to the OP's problem, intermittent operation when switching on and off and grinding sound, this sounds like a bad motor brake to me. My second one failed in just this manner.
