I've done quite a few sets of wheels and other things with PlastiDip, but not the Metalizer. I would definitely be interested in how it looks also...

I've use the Plastidip in the "can" or non-aerosol type. I dipped my tools that I was using for my Lithium build in case I did a drop....I didn't want to have a "local campfire.!!"
I'm impressed with it on tools at least. Dipping 'em twice seems to do a great job. I know you were looking for the aerosol comments.....but I figured the dip results wouldn't hurt. |

I painted my motorcycle tanks with it. It has a soft sheen to it, but you need to be a good painter to get good results. I got a lot of 'tiger striping' that got worse with more coats and ended up peeling it off.

Are those the wheels you intend to cover?

No my ride is @ 3 weeks old. 2019 2five. That's factory paint and some old fashion wax on wax off. I also buff and uv protected the black plastic. I'm scared silly about painting/dipping the wheels. They are actually gorgeous! |

My only tip is to make sure you have multiple coats. The thicker the layer of PlastiDip, the easier it will peel off when you're ready to someday. If you only do one or two light coats (even if it looks good enough) it will be a monster to get off... it will come off in tons of tiny little pieces. Several coats will pull off in big pieces and be a clean removal. You got this!
