Premature battery discharge EXGO

2006 EZGO TXt PDS with lift kit and 23” tires.April 2017 Trojan T105 36V batterery.Battery gets to 70% discharge after 6 miles or 20 min of street running. Load tested on driving uphill and found 0.7V to 0.8V decline in a few of the batteries.Pack Voltage on open circuit is 38.7V and drops to 33.7V on load.Sp gravity testing over 1275 .Are the batteries the culprit?.Really frustrating.

May want to post type of charger your using.
What is pack voltage after full charge but unused for 12 hours.
Also each batteries voltage after full charge.😊

Individual batteries are 6.3 to 6.4 V fully charged.

Battery voltages seem to be good. Likely not bad batteries, but under capacity batteries for your carts demand...

Your 23" tires are what is dragging the voltage down under load. It takes a lot more current to turn 23" tires on a golf cart designed to turn 18" tires. It's simple physics. You may need to check the ratings of your 2017 batteries to see if they can handle the higher load being demanded. Often when buying new batteries, buyers will buy lower capacity batteries to save money. That is not a good idea, especially when your cart is going to require a lot more current compared to a stock golf cart.

You mentioned you had T-105 batteries, so you have the standard 36V - 225AH battery pack.

How are you determining the battery pack is discharging to 70% SoC after 6 miles or 20 minutes of runtime?
If the voltage reading is taken immediately after stopping, the SoC will be artificially low since it takes the battery voltage quite a while to recover after being under load. I let my batteries rest for at least half an hour after stopping to estimate the SoC.

Your batteries are connected in series now to give 36v (the total of all the batteries). If you connect parallel, you will only have 6 volts from the entire pack.

Can't change the pounds of lead you have. T-105s are good batteries for their price range. You can always go to eight T-105s, but Lithium may offer better performance, as you get more usable energy than FLAs, which really should never be discharged to 50% SoC.
