Default 1990 Marathon to 48 Volts

I have a 1990 Marathon that is already a solid state cart with a Curtis controller. Are the upgrade packages from Scotty simply plug and play or will I have to figure out a bunch of stuff? I've never done something like that before myself except installing new batteries and cables and new solenoid in my old resistor cart. I want to go with the alltrax 500 amp controller and 400 solenoid. Is it pretty easy to do?

Thumbs up Re: 1990 Marathon to 48 Volts

Yea it's pretty much plug and play. You may have to cut off the wire connections on it now and put different connectors on is about it I think.

I have swapped many older carts out for controllers and that's about all you have to change.
I took this old cart and completely rebuilt it from the ground up for a fiend who had cancer. This cart was in a box behind his shop and had no frame left. 2 other friends and I completely rebuilt it and I wired up a 400 amp controller for it. He died 6 month's after we gave it back to him. But it was worth every penny to see him smile again. His wife still rides it today.
