What Is my golf cart weight? Club Car / Yamaha / Ezgo

The information below is the dry weight without batteries or modifications direct from the manufacturer. Most often electric golf carts weigh less than gasoline golf carts.

Club Car Precedent Electric: 495 Pounds
Club Car Precedent Gas: 606 Pounds
Club Car DS IQ-System Electric: 498 Pounds
Club Car DS Gas: 619 Pounds

EZGO RXV Electric: 571 Pounds
EZGO RXV Gas: 697 Pounds
EZGO Medalist/TXT Electric: 550 Pounds
EZGO Medalist/TXT Gas: 750 Pounds
EZGO Marathon Electric: N/A
EZGO Marathon Gas: N/A

Yamaha The Drive Electric: 535 Pounds
Yamaha The Drive Gas: 536 Pounds
Yamaha G22 Electric: 549 Pounds
Yamaha G22 Gas: 670 Pounds
Yamaha G19 Electric: 560 Pounds
Yamaha G19 Gas: N/A
Yamaha G16 Electric: 560 Pounds
Yamaha G16 Gas: 653 Pounds
Yamaha G14 Electric: 560 Pounds
Yamaha G14 Gas: 661 Pounds
Yamaha G9 Electric: 519 Pounds
Yamaha G9 Gas: 606 Pounds
Yamaha G8 Electric: 556 Pounds
Yamaha G8 Gas: 672 Pounds
Yamaha G5 Sun Classic: 798 Pounds
Yamaha G2 Electric: N/A
Yamaha G2 Gas: 606 Pounds
Yamaha G1 Gas: 684 Pounds
Looking at the dry weight of 550 pounds, if I add the weight of my batteries, I'm at 790 pounds. My ramps are rated at 1250 pounds, so minus 790, I still
have a 460 pound cushion. I'm sure there is some additional weight for the wheels. but how much could that be?

Find your tires&wheels and baskets and other stuff on-line and check the shipping weight. That ought to be pretty close.

Johnnie, I took your advise and looked at the actual weight of my rims and tires compared to stock. My stock rim and tire weighed 17.5 pounds, while my new rims and tires weigh 29 pounds. So that's 11.5 pounds heavier for each wheel for a total of 46 pounds. Then I looked up my clays basket and it weighs 23 pounds. So between my batteries, rims and tires and clays basket, I'm 309 pounds heavier than stock dry weight of 550 pounds. I get a total weight of 859 pounds. I'm not sure what the back basket weighs, but even if it weighed 100 pounds (it doesn't) I'm still under the capacity of my ramps. Knowing close to the actual weight of my cart now, I'm comfortable using the ramps I have.

70 olds if you have folding ramps. Throw some jack stands under the hindged part of ramps for added whieght distribution.

Next weakest link is the cables holding tail gate when down.
You can buy ready made flat stock to replace cables ďcanít remember company nameĒ or fabricate your own as Iím sure you will as I did to replace cables when loading so tailgate doesínt buckle under wheight.
Just a piece of flat stock that goes in place of cables to aid in loading cart so tailgate doesínt fail.
Hole on 1 end pin that goes in tail gate latch in other end.
Cables are the weak link as they corrote / rust out inside plastic sleeve.
Had cables fail while helping friend load atv into truck bed. Fwiw😊

What 12volt batteries do you have that weight 60 Lb's each. Seems a little light for a 12 volt GC battery

I don't know. His weight doesn't add up. It looks like he's got around 240 lb's for the battery pack

I'm just as excited as you. The cart has been on the back burner while I was redoing my bathroom, but now I'm almost done and my wife wants it out of the backyard now that the nice weather is here. Going to finish the posi install today and then put in the new motor. I'll definitely keep you posted on how things go. It's so muddy up there right now, I almost don't want to bring it up and get it all dirty
