Default Newbie with a 2016 EZGO TXT 48

I recently purchased a 2016 TXT 48 from a local golf course due to them upgrading and my front axle was bent and the cowl was cracked. I have replace everything with new but for some reason it feel slow. When i take off it will throw you back in the seat then will just "cruise" I'm guessing 8mph or whatever the course has them set at. Is there anything I can do that's not $1,000. I got a personality plug from one of my friends but mine apparently isn't PDS. Just looking for some ideas or little hacks from the pros. I have 2 AWG wires for the batteries which are less than a year old i have checked voltage they are all at 8.2V individual and 51V totaled. Thanks for any help in advance.

Install an Alltrax XCT48400 for about $500.

User programmable via a USB cable and will up your speed to about 24MPH, which can be reduced to whatever max speed you feel comfortable with by RPM limiting the motor.

Note: All 10 high current cables ought to be 2Ga.

Unless something has changed with the '16 model, the controller can be"adjusted" by a dealer. Electronic key will unlock controller to ~17 mph and after that a handheld can unlock it further to 19+ mph. Plan on $100 plus or minus. The end result is basically the same as we used to do with the red plug on the PDS models. If no dealer available it is possible maybe to rent the key and handheld. This is on the standard tires like on your cart. With the above mods and 20" tall tires (no lift required) you could be in the low 20s.
The suggested Alltrax controller would bypass all of that and give you more torque also. Pretty much plug and play.

The magnet might be a possibility but I can't comment further on that.

The whole thing only takes a couple of minutes. If you trailer the cart there you shouldn't even need to unload it.
