Throttle jerking
My 36 volt ezgo with upgraded alltrax controller has started jerking when pressing the throttle lightly. Any idea what's wrong?

Re: Throttle jerking
Look at post #19 on this thread and look how JohnnieB has his throttle set up on the toolkit.
http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/elect...r-files-2.html When I upgraded my controller on my 36v cart I played around and settled in with something like Johnnie has and mine takes off smooth now. |

You should also check the molex connector. It’s the white 4 wire connector running from the controller towards the f/r. Have you recently washed the cart or any water get into the floorboard? If moisture gets into the box where the throttle is, it can play havoc with the signal. |

Re: Throttle jerking
Is it a series cart?
Did it start having problems right after you washed it? Did you locate the molex connector? The throttle assembly is in a box under the floor mat. I’d cut the molex out and solder the wires together, then cover it with marine grade heat shrink. If that connector isn’t causing your current problem, it might in the future. |

Re: Throttle jerking
If you’re not ready to cut it out and solder the connections, you can butt splice them too. At a minimum, pull it apart, spray some contact cleaner, and plug-replug multiple times.

Re: Throttle jerking
I disconnected the battery and opened up the throttle box to take a look. It looked dry inside. I put it back together and hooked the batteries back up and now it does nothing when a push the throttle. It is clicking when I turn the key on and the controller isn't showing any error codes. Battery voltage is 40.3.

Re: Throttle jerking
No it's not a series. It has the xct400pds.
