Speed controllers

I'm new at this so I'm not sure if this is even I can ask a question or not. I'm typing to get some advice on interchanging speed controllers. I have a 95 with the key on the dash and the controller has four connecters on the top. I have another controller that I'm not sure what it came off of but it is the exact controller ( I think ) but it only has three connection's on top. Can I replace the one with four connecters on top with the one with only three. Visually their the same except. I apologise if this is a stupid question I just got into these carts and really like messing with them

You should try and get some pictures posted of the 2 controllers and if you have them out maybe you can post the model numbers of the controllers and I know there are people here that can tell you if it will work or not. But as first thought it sounds like they are different since one has 4 and the other has 3.

It won't let me post the pictures yet. Someone told me that I could put two of the wires on one post and it would work. That sounded a little to good to be true, but I wanted to get some more opinions on it. Because I have a 350 amp controller and a 275 amp one too both have three and both have the same amount of pins in the plug and the selonoids are the same and in the same location. Basically they all look the sam except for the number of connection's on top. The controllers don't have any kind of identifying numbers on them except the 350 amp.one

I would not hook it up until you get confirmation from some of the people here. They will need the part number off of both of the controllers to confirm if they are even for the same drive system.

Thank you. The only info on either two are an inspectors I'd number and a sticker saying warranty void is seal broken. Is there a way to check using a multi meter or something like that. It's an 95 ezgo medalist that I'm trying to get going and from the little that I know it's a DCS because the key switch is on the dash. Is there a way to check an unlabeled controller for the info or if I could find one that I knew what it came off of to make sure it was the right one

The first one is on the cart and bad.by the way my mistake it's a text someone put a key switch up on the dash that says it's a DCS if that's the right abbr. And the second one is the one I'm trying to figure out if it can be used. I have been reading about it and can't figure out vwhat their saying after reading several of them. I took the cable off that the other one is missing and the cart still run. It still got jumpy because of controller. I read one that said the only thing that one does is stop it from running while the charger is in it. I am limited on funds and have two of the three prong ones including a 350 amp on and really need to use them if possible. I will figure out another way of making the cart not move with the charger plugged in. Thanks for your help. I also have a couple questions on a workhorse I put a 26 horse Briggs in but I saw one group with all twin V's.i will try that one.

I don't understand your questions.

When changing from a four lug controller to a three lug one, the two cables that were on controller A2 are bolted together and insulated, or motor A2 goes to FNR terminal C, if cables are long enough.

Your pic of the controller in the cart only has three lugs in use?

Yes your correct. After reading about it I took it off to see if it would work without it which of course it did. And you answered my question. Thank you.
