Default 2010 TXT Green Charging light not coming on

I have an EZGO TXT 2010 and just replaced my batteries.
I also bought a new battery charger, one that will float the batteries instead of just turn off when charged. An Accusense GENIV.

My question. When plugged into the cart, my old charger that came with the cart will make the green LED near the charging plug receptacle on the cart blink green.

The new charger will not. The light does not even come on (green or red). Why is this, and is this a sign something is wrong?
How do I make the new charger use the cart's charging light? This light is use full since it blinks green or red and tells me if something is wrong with the charging.

Also, I noticed the wires going from the charging receptacle on the cart (inside near the batteries) to the batteries are small, and get hot when charging. These are the original wires, should I replace these with bigger wires?

You have a DPI charger....the question I have is, does the GREEN light on THE CHARGER come on when the batteries indicate they are charged??

I believe this is normal with aftermarket chargers. Not a malfunction. As long as the status lights on the new charger operate properly you should be good to go. It is always best to check up on the charger and the batteries periodically with a hand held digital volt meter.

Regarding the wires. Make sure they are tight where connected to the batteries and there shouldn't be any corrosion.

I am charging the new batteries with the new charger right now.
Been charging for about 12 hours now.
I will answer your question when they are charged.
Thank you...

The status lights on the new charger seem to be working as designed.
The batteries are charging for the first time right now. Been charging for about 12 hours now.

I will check the wires and replace with bigger gauge and ensure the connections are tight with no corrosion. The charger can output up to 20 Amps, so I will ensure I have minimum #12AWG going to the batteries.
Thank you...

Most all chargers that are not made by delta-q (like the factory charger was) don't activate the light. Not a problem other than you are not seeing the lamp flashing. Also, the interlock feature which prevents you from driving while plugged in is not operational.

Did you get a manual with your charger? My Gen III has a manual that tells what all of the LEDs mean. My cable seems to be the same as my old PowerWise, and they both get warm/hot. Inside the cart, the cables are 6 or 8 AWG. Smaller in charger cable. 12? Nothing to worry about, I'd think.

Yes, I have the manual. And yes, I will start using the LED lights on the Accusense charger as the new "charging statuses".

Just so everyone knows who reads this, I have a TXT EXGO 2010 which has the charging LED light on the charging receptacle plug, located on the cart left side of the driver.
I replaced the EZGO charger with a new Accusense charger that is capable of floating the batteries during charging. The Powerwise EXGO charger is not capable of this, it charges then shuts off, while the Accusense will charge then turn back on after so many days to top the batteries off again, then again, then again.

The new Accusense does not turn on the EZGO charging LED located on the charging receptacle. So now I need to use the lights on the Accusense charger to tell me the charging status.

The cables inside the cart to connect the batteries to create a 48VDC system are all #8AWG. The cables from the charger connection to the batteries look like #12AWG. But I will clean them up and probably replace them.

My bad. I misunderstood the problem.
