Default Lift kit steering issues

Wondering if any one has issues with steering or stability on a lifted Ez GO cart. will add details tomorrow regarding the lift kit, tire size etc.. seems as though the cart is very rocky as in like a boat on the water. At higher speeds tends to pull quite hard to the left. Thanks in advance

It depends on the lift type, the adjustment, the tires, and a bunch of other stuff. Do you have some pictures of the lift?

In addition (bunch of other stuff) the type of steering system. Pre 2001.5 (3 bolt) or post 2001.5 (4 bolt). The 3 bolt centre down steering is crappy and with a lift kit and high speeds it really needs a stabilizer and proper alignment. If your alignment is off on a 3 bolt the cart will sway all over the place.

Imapled is mostly right. The TXT 3 bolt system uses two tie rods from a common steering arm between them. As the wheels, one or both, move up and down over bumps the design causes the toe in to change. The Marathon used one tie rod (drag link) from the steering arm to the right spindle. Another tie rod links the left spindle to the right spindle. Toe in doesn't change with wheel vertical movement or articulation. It will change left and right alignment with the steering wheel minutely.

The post-2001 rack and pinion mounted on the axle alleviates both issues.

For the '95-'01 TXT 3-bolt system it is best to set up your lift so the tie rods are parallel to the ground at rest to minimize the toe changes over rough ground.

Does make a difference if it is an RXV. Previous comments are about TXTs. Take a picture of the lift kit and post it. Either a spindle or a-arm.

Pretty common error when installing a lift is not properly setting toe in. DIY or a shop install.
