Lol, just ask Bob, he can tell more about the life of a rxv controller than anyone. And that's no joke.

Classic symptom of a defective motor brake. But that still does not explain the bad seals and the buzzer driver issues. Bad seals in a humid saltwater (Pacific ocean island) atmosphere is a concern, never seen such large gaps in Curtis controller seals before. And there is no cure for the buzzer driver burnout. That is a port on the microprocessor, which is unable to be replaced.

Yuppirs. As soon as I put the controllers on the bench, I seen the classic signs of cut buzzer wire damage, so I called the guy that sent the controllers and asked if the buzzer wires had been cut. He confirmed that they had, so I told him to reconnect the buzzers. The one controller had minor damage, which was solved by disabling the powerup test on the buzzer. The other controller was hard shorted, Buzzer Driver on. I disabled the powerup test on that one, which allowed the controller to pass powerup testing, but the buzzer would sound solid on. Time to cork it! That is an unfixable error, as cutting the wire to silence the buzzer unbalances the run/tow switch circuit that it connects to. There is nothing that can be done for that controller, short of sending it to FSIP to be rebuilt. I do not rebuild controllers.

Yup, there are a few on eBay right now. Get my address and contact info from your cousin and send me the replacement controller so I can turn it up!
