2004 TXT Build, down to some easy questions
Hey all,
A few questions regarding my 2004 TXT Series cart build. EDIT: Its upgraded to 48 volts, also. ( six 8V batteries) I have torn it down to the frame and pretty much rebuilt it from ground up. About the only original things are:Frame, trans axle, body(and top)and some of the plastics everywhere. I may upgrade the glovebox to lockable at some point. I put on : Steeleng 6" lift, new wheels and tires( just 10' DOT tires for now)HD leaf springs front and rear,shocks,#3 kit from Carts Unlimited with torque motor( thanks Scotty)new charging port, battery box,and truck bed liner for paint on body and top. Will install soon: Rear seat, light kit,12V reducer from Scotty.A few stock parts that weren't on the cart,or damaged and need replaced(bumper, etc) Here are my questions. 1. Do we have a build page somewhere that I should post the build,if I want? Or just do it here? 2. Trying to follow ScottyB's battery break in , but the new batteries wont go below 47 volts and I have put probably 15 miles on the dang thing. I know its a good thing, but should i just go ahead and charge them or keep on going with it, to get them down lower before recharging,so I can continue trying to break them in ? Thanks ! |

This is a 36 volt cart. Not sure what you mean, you can't get the battery pack below 47 volts??

Also,
I just found the "golf cart pics" hyper link, just to the right of my user ID,which can be used for pictures/albums. Sorry, I am fairly new here. |

Re: 2004 TXT Build, down to some easy questions
You would never want to go below 48.4 - 50% charged. And you don't have to bring it down to 50% before you charge it. If you run it, and are done with it for the day. Charge it

CPAT22, if you are wanting to do a "build" thread, post it here.....if you just want to post some pictures...you found the picture thread. As far as charging your cart....plug it in EVERYTIME after you have driven it and aren't going anywhere later that day....otherwise, keep the batteries fully charged.
