Default Stereo install help

I have a Freedom RXV 2015. Wanting to install a simple stereo. Wanting to mount the unit in the cup holder area. There is a wiring hookup for turn signals under the cup holder. I think it’s for turn signals, since I have lights and a factory reducer.
Wanting to know if I can hook up to these wires to install the stereo. Is this ok to do?

I was looking at my manuals for RXV. Look for a green wire in the factory wiring harness. this should be the 12 v source you will need. please verify it with a multimeter before using it.

I have attached the wiring diagram, sorry I don't have a better way to capture it.

Thank you. That helps.

I would run a clean power and ground from the voltage reducer or fuse block if installed. Messing with any of the factory wires on an RXV is a recipe for disaster if you accidentally touch or short the wrong thing. Don't ask me how I know this..Lol. Cost me a new controller on my first RXV several years ago.

Yikes. So, just hook up straight to voltage reducer? I’m new to this and don’t want to make a mistake.

You can run straight to the 12V positive and negative on the reducer. I usually run the 12V to a marine style fuse block then distribute to the various devices (lights, stereo, fans, etc.) from there.
