Default 1994 EZGO Marathon Microswitch Location?

New member here. Also new to golf cart repair, so please be gentle. I have a 1994 EZGO Marathon that promptly started breaking immediately after I purchased it. So at first, it would just go from 0-12 MPH the second you hit the pedal. I was instructed to replace the solenoid. Mission accomplished! Easy. No problem. Now instead of the cart taking off the second you hit the pedal, it takes off the second you turn the key. So I was instructed that the problem is probably the microswitch. I went to my local part supply and purchased a new microswitch. Now, I can't find the old one to replace it. Where oh where could this little switch be?

I have a sneaking suspicion that this cart may be frankenstiened together. Maybe I am wrong, but when I look at the diagrams I find, it looks like the chassis is different from the body...

I have added photos of the cart, microswitch and what I assume is the speed control switch. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Also, is there a place where I can purchase a repair manual? I would really love to have a paper copy that I can throw against a wall when I can't get things to work properly.

Thank you!

Don't look now but the 2 wires on the top of the potentiometer shown in your pictures are attached to the micro switch. It is a bit different than the switch you bought. You will need to get the throttle micro switch for this yr marathon specifically

You got a TXT microswitch unfortunately. The marathon is a lot bigger.

Ok so I went to the parts dealer and got the right switch and connected it EXACTLY the same way the old one was connected. Now when I try to reconnect the batteries, there are sparks. I was afraid of frying something since there was no arc previously. What the heck is going on now? I can't catch a break with this thing.

Thank you for all of your advice so far!
