Accusense charger updated Board?
Dpi Gen 3 i was told 1-48017-04 Using on a 48v PDS .
So back story my accusence charger was diagnosed with a bad front board. Dpi sent me a new one but they are a lil diff. Tryiing to search but not finding what i need. I know some where i say a post about it but cant find again. So my old board had the Pins like a hard drive master set. New board is switches. Not a issue i belive. But there is now a menu / i dont know button that needs to stick out the case but i have no hole there for it. Can any one tell me if this is correct board and do i just match the P1 ,P2 and etc the same as old board.? Thanks |

Re: Accusense charger updated Board?
You've got a Gen-III charger and the new board is for a Gen-IV.
You need P# KITS0106 and they sent you P# KITS0200. http://www.dpipower.com/store/index....i-48v-pcb.html |

Just wondering as there are no other boards in the charger. Would seem like the changes are main boards them self. |

You'll have to ask DPI if the transformer in a Gen-III 48V charger will work with a Gen-IV 48V board. I suspect it might, but you'll lose float charging. |

Re: Accusense charger updated Board?
Haven’t researched but wonder if you could bypass the ac board to keep the float function.

Re: Accusense charger updated Board?
what do you think of the new DC cord to charger connection. seen a lot of problems because of this design change. broken plugs and burning on the front board B+ B- connections. so far DPI has covered them under warranty.

Re: Accusense charger updated Board?
I dont think a control board not designed for float charge in it's software is going to magically start float charging just because you rig-job the AC side.
Also, the new DC cords, they are horrible, I have to keep a bunch in stock, for warranty concerns. Stocking parts for warranty claims is bogus. I only use them when the customer demands it. Otherwise I use a "non-removable" pull protection, and hook the DC cord to the board. |
